fairy dresses with Third World Ant

Third World Ant whisked me away on Saturday for a stint of retail therapy and a smoothie. It was great for two reasons:
She is so sensible yet crazy at the same time; and
I found the best fairy/formal pink dress in the whole world.

I didn't do much in the way of going out this weekend, which was great for once. Usually I feels as though I'm missing out. Instead I tanned by the pool, took a drive with Steve up Munro Drive to check out the view of the city from the watch point (it's lovely, being Spring/Summer at the moment), we bought some books, and planned our Mozambique getaway over Christmas. Yip, we're going for three whole weeks to Mozam! I am so excited, we even bought a road map and Lonely Planet. (For those of you not in the know: it's a country north east of SA, filled with white sandy beaches, palms, awesome Portuguese locals, and lots of prawns and crayfish. Just what the doctor ordered.)

Third World Ant and a couple of other cool travellers are joining us too, so it should be great. Only two months to go...

Fairy dresses? Sunbathing in October?? Christmas in Mozambique???

Am quite jealous! All we have to look forward to in Blighty is a siberian winter and bird flu;)

I know, the fairy dress was quite a find.

Handbag - I know, I'm a lucky chick. I have to focus on that. In the meantime though, I wouldn't mind a plate of bangers and mash, mushy peas and a pint of Guiness in a cosy little pub. Seriously. So many of my friends are off to good old England before the end of the year to revel in everything that's British-for good, as well!
I feel as though I am somehow missing out. :)
