*yippee*

Saturday consisted of a bit of a juggling act. I went as the German's date to a beautiful-people birthday party. And realised I didn't really want to be there, although the party was held in an exclusive flower shop in Parkhurst, where dangling chandeliers, buckets of roses and candles made the place look like a fairyland.

One of my dear friends has, over the last couple of weeks, been trying to set me up with one of her friends. Let's call him..The Friend. I've met him a couple of times, the first being the day after my break up, so I've never even thought about going there. He's funny, has piercing blue eyes, is in advertising (meaning he's somewhat creative: nice for a change), is a good looking guy. And apparently he's interested.

Well, after the date with German, I went to a house party to see my friend and The Friend. I walked into a room of extremely drunk people (the German date I remained sober, perhaps out of boredom, my brain shut down and refused to get all intoxicated-like). My freind was dancing like Jim Carrey in The Mask, and The Friend was bouncing off the walls with the rest of his mates. Hmmm.

Everyone kind of calmed down, friend, myself, The Friend and Friend who my friend is kissing found ourselves slumped on the couch. They went home. I decided, "I kinda like this guy." In fact, no I thought "Shit, I think I really do like this guy."
We left. It was 2:00am. He kissed me in the middle of the road. It sounds about as romantic as a Stephen King novel, but seriously: no cars, deathly quiet, trees, moon, star and us in the middle of the road sucking face. We then did a Titanic 17-year old manoeuvre and snogged for another two hours in my car. I know. I'm almost embarrassed.

Except! It was fucking GREAT. We eventually went home at 4:30am. He's so nice, I like him, I do, I really do. And because I'm on time share with the German, I am in the right! Yay!
Feedback from my friend says he likes me too. I haven't heard from him yet. It's been 24 hours. Do I panic? No. No panic.

In the meantime, the German is coming round to watch DVDs at our place tonight. Nooooooooooo.

Janie - I know this juggling thing is a little...stressful. The one knows I have a date on Wednesday with the other.
However, I won't see the other one until Mozambiue. Bring on Mozambique, it's my excuse to get outta here and leave a trail of destruction in my wake...;)
