...absolutely spitting furious.
When someone goes "missing" you automatically presume they're dead after a while.
You're also terrified to switch on the TV or radio in case the carnal wreckage of their aeroplane or car, the same that haunted you while you tossed and turned the night before, is a reality.
Then you realise that you care more than you should, and should've just gone out and got hammered somewhere instead.

so....who's gone missing??
That's where we differ in outlook. After a while I just assume it was something I said.
So boyfriend gone AWOL then?
I don't blame you one bit for being upset. If you care about someone, you care about their well being. And if you have some expectation that they will let you know they're okay when they're back from a trip and they don't, it's just inconsideration on their part.
However, going out and getting hammered probably wouldn't have helped the problem either...
If I need to break up with someone, I tend to disappear until they stop calling. Its cowardly for sure!
it never really stops does it??
So you're not really that good at playing Hide and Seek, are you???
Ha ha, I loved this. It's true, we care more than we care to admit a lot of the time, but that's the beauty of life and human being - that we're so filled with emotions.

Ps. I hate when people do that, disappearing is the one quick way to get me totally annoyed / hurt...depending who is doing the disappearing.
