Now that we're in our actual house, it's time to sort it the fuck out.
It looks like a tip. To be fair.
It's pay day and I'm going bipolar. The rooms are echoing, shit needs to be hung up and corners need to be filled with awesome, contemporary craftmanship.
Also, now that I've actually opened the chairs I ordered off eBay from Holland, it's become pretty clear that I'm going to need to reupholster the bastards.
After all that.
The Brit hasn't said as much, and not quite sure how he's managed to bite his tongue, but they just look a little too...Buckingham Palace.
Perhaps it's the gold mixed with the red, but they're British Monarchy Meets Sharm El Sheik.
Dude. Imagine a Muslim queen enthroning herself on my chairs for a second.
Because that's the vibe. In my lounge. Right now.
My friend was right. Liberace has called and he does want his chairs back.
Luckily, I can repaint and reupholster. And make them look INSANELY beautiful. All by myself. With the help of fabric professionals.
But back to the fun stuff - shopping. Online. For cool stuff. For our house. An online shopping basket isn't unlike a 'Shit I Gotta See Before I Die' bucket list.
Here's mine. From Dwell. Shit we wanna buy. And shit that I've added to the checkout without the Brit knowing it yet. Like the pink glass flamingo, for example.
Isn't it grand?
I'll need a glass of wine before pressing 'proceed to checkout.'

Hell yeah to the flamingo.
