wagon wheels

Well today is my last day on the Sobriety Wagon. Not like I'm overly excited or anything. I think I am semi-functional with regards to socialising on Sprite. Sure, it's dull. But at least I'm not the only boring one around here:

C: I'm just so....bored.
Peas: God, so bored.
C: Work is boring, life is boring, this whole frigging place is boring.
Peas: Try not drinking for two months. You'll hit new levels of boring that you never thought imaginable.
[pause]
C: And it's not like we're even...turning 30 or anything.
Peas:...Dude. We're close enough.

While walking into Montecasino, for a media thing: (Where they body search you with electric sabers, and poke around in your handbag at security checkpoint by the escalators)

Peas: Oh shit. I forgot they check your bags here.
747: Why would that be a problem?
Peas: Because...shit. [Desperate whisper]: My vibrator is in my handbag.

Face immediately drops and eyes bulge.

747: Well...what the fuck is it doing in there?
Peas: wahahahahaha. Just kidding. Sorry I couldn't resist.
747: Don't even joke. I wouldn't put it past you to do something like that.

My first party - real party - tonight, at least since New Year. A mate's birthday. And this crowd knows how to knock a few back.

It is with some trepidation I venture into the abyss. I shall proceed with caution.
