Steve and I often debate about who is more "worldly" than the other. It comes down to who has travelled to the most places. If you were in transit for more than three hours, then it counts too. Feel free if you want to join in this frivolous competition.

if it makes you both feel any better i'm way behind you two!
So far travel adventures amount to:

1.UK (duh)
2.Ireland
3.US (New York, Las Vegas, LA, Florida)
4.Budapest
5.France
6.Germany
7.Spain
8.Holland (some very messy weekends in Amsterdam)
9.Tenerife
10.Gran Canaria
11.Majorca (not sure these three should even count!)
12. Belgium (if you count driving thru en route to Germany)

hmmm. where's my passport? think I need to book a holiday.

No that's impressive. When I worked in the US, I met people that hadn't even left the state and weren't planning to. Some of them were aghast that I'd actually boarded a plane. Especially because I was from "Africa."
I had a lot of fun telling them about the jungles, man-eating beasts and the crocodiles in my swimming pool. Oh and I had to take the "bone out of my nose because the customs officials thought it was too barbaric."

oh - forgot Jersey. does that count?!

glad you freaked out the gullible yanks with lots of stories about voodoo etc :)

You are a little genius! I've been to Jersey too, which means it's tipped the scale! Am on the phone to Steve right now to tell him about the new state of affairs...

hurrah. Guess he's the one with the nine hour drive ahead of him then (sorry Steve!)

I think its time for a new competition. Here are some options:
1) The most hardcore thing you've ever done, which can include doing jail time; bungee jumping or having a threesome.
2)Your worst injury/illness
3)Your most embarrassing moment, but not something lame like, "I tripped in front of a group of grannies."
4)Ghost stories.
Keen?
