So it's a friend's birthday party tonight. At some farm miles out of town. Albeit, this is my first social occasion where I'll be alone. Single. I'm dreading it.
Everyone I know will be there, and while some know of the split, it's going to be one of those nights where I have to recount the story 45 times for everyone's benefit. Perhaps I should make a speech as I arrive.
(Spoon against glass: ting ting ting ting ting! "Sorry could I just have everyone's attention? Thanks. I have an announcement to make: Steve and I have split...Any questions? No? Thank you.")
I don't even want to go. But I guess one's got to force themselves to do these things so that you don't mope at home like a loser, chainsmoke on your own at home like a loser, become a loser, become a hermit, or worse....that horrible thing: "Peas on Toast has become a...recluse."
And tomorrow I'm being dragged to a brunch, a party and a club. Oh goodie. Life of the party.

Dude, I've totally had this conversation with a guy called Smokey earlier this week. And I'm going to tell you what I told him: I DON'T CARE FOR REPAIRING BIKES. I don't own a bike. And I don't care for repairing one.
But! What you doing on Saturday ? ;)
Hey peaches, good luck for tonight... If you want me for anything this weekend, just shout, mkay? Even just for a cry, no parties necessary. xXx
Thanks dollface. There's a party Leigh and I are going to (or rather, she's dragging me to) on saturday in Saxonwold at 3:00 pm. If you keen to come along, let me know. Otherwise Georg, that german dude that lives next to richard is dragging me to Moloko thereafter. So the more more the merrier. Keen?
Hey there.
Hope you are well.
I replied to your earlier post about your recent events. Sorry for the late response.
