woohoo! *excitement excitement*

Well I won an SA Blog Award last night, for best new blog, and I am ecstatic!
Thank you Joblog for organising it and, moreover, for the free drinks.
And thanks to everyone who voted for me, I am truly flattered.

And surprised. It astounds me that people have taken an active interest in my crazy little life.

Joblog pulled up in a limo with flames on the side of it, loved the style. Third World Ant (who is now officially hired as my agent - love her), made me posters and took some great pics (check out her site). I felt somewhat vulnerable in the situation, perhaps because most of the bloggers there don't write about their personal lives per se. I mean, when you think about it, 70% of the people in that room know that I play with myself. And they don't even know me.

I am truly flattered that the blogging population finds this readable material, and for that, I thank you.

(Small Bum, being the leading character these days, was over the moon, and we celebrated aptly. Pity we were too pissed to celebrate sexually :)

pretty please tell your readers how you upstaged the 'cum laude' celebration last night....

Ant - ha ha ha. By the time we arrived, and Timmy had eloquently humped the pavement in his land rover, it would seem that cum laude was the last thing on everyone's minds. :)

Go to www.aquilaonline.com, some more pics of the Awards. (Some very unflattering :)

Hope you keep up the good writing, and we can one day buy the mushy toasty peas bestseller....

Thanks Marc!
You think people would want to actually read autobiographical memoirs of a nobody? Now THAT I'd love! :)

excellent news.Looks like fun was had by all. Now that you're famous and on reading this article, it occurred to me that perhaps someone would want to hijack your old site domain. I just tried it out of curiosity and it's available...and if I was vaguely mischievous I could now be the proud owner of a Peas blog. Perhaps you should reclaim it even you leave it blank . or only make posts that don't relate to exS? Have a great weekend at the colab.

Peas on Toast said...

Thanks Zu, it's all a little mindblowing to be honest. Who woulda thought? ;)

Peas on Toast said...

ATW - Hmmm, interesting. This could actually work in my favour. Because if someone did in fact try to hijack my old domain, prospective nosy ex's could easily mistake it for mine when it actually isn't.
Meaning I wouldn't need to change my blog address ever again.

That said, I've been throwing around ideas in my head about changing my blog completely. The name, the template, the everything. Start afresh as it were. Some of the names included:
Lentils on Soggy Bread
Marmite on Ciapatta
Nan Bread
Petit Pois on Rye

But perhaps this hijacking scheme could sort out all of this for me. Let me know if anyone does take it up ok.

Nicely done :-)

Oh, and at the CT affair, I heard a girl saying to her boyfriend: "You can read all the blogs you want, as long as it's not that Peas on Toast one - you're not allowed to visit that one."

I'm thinking you could upstage Nerve one of these days...

I would have thought it! you have a fab blog going here. what did you win?

Congratulations!!!! Never mind Peas on Toast, you make this whole blogging-well-and-being-adored-and-awarded-for-it business seem like a Peas of Cake! (Okay, I'm lame with a fondness for terrible puns.)

Well done Peas!
While you were at the blogs, I think I saw your ExS celebrating for you at the Jolly Roger?!

Peas on Toast said...

Martin - thanks guy! :) That snippet of coversation overheard has made my day. How halarious! One wonders if Nerve's boyfriend will visit now, because he isn't allowed to. I wait in anticipation...;)

Aquila - well done to you guys too, actually saw your blog this morning with the pics and had to laugh. Very cool indeed. :)

Zu - a hard hat with my name splurged all over it, and some very welcome blogging recognition. :)

redsaid - why shpank you very much!

Peas on Toast said...

Thestickwithmekid - I believe so. But I think it's safe to say that he was celebrating his birthday and his latest shag, not my blog award.
I heard that she (aka Booby Bitch) didn't make an appearance though. Disappointing. :)

Well done Peas.

And for the record, I think it's the fact that you tell people that you play with yourself that your readership keeps growing.

There should be more like you...

Don

Peas on Toast said...

True, true. :) And thanks Don, last night was fabulous. You guys really did a great job.

PS: Did you know that 98% of the world's population plays with themselves? Meaning the pitiful 2% must be very unhappy indeed.

PPS: I can't back that up.

PPPS: But I'm sure it's probable.

Thanks salami :)

Was great to meet you guys, and what an honour, taking the crown/hard hat from you!

And finally somebody who admits to frequent masturbation. Good on you son. x

Sheez, it looks like I missed all the excitement while I was out wrasslin' deadlines. Story of my life, possibly.

Anyway - a belated, but hearty congrats, Peas! I'm really pleased you got to drag home the trophy.

Peas on Toast said...

Thanks barbedwire, nice to see you've resurfaced, and sorry about the deadlines. I sympathise - that's pretty much the story of my life too... :(
