riot

I am proud to say that I played a part in starting a riot today.

Traffic Department. 10:23 am. Nobody is doing ANYTHING. Around 5 000 angry people awaiting license discs. We all got pissed off, and as things go, our pissed offness fed off each other.

Soon we were all - me and a group of five old black guys - jumping around demanding service. And screaming.
It worked.

Then I threw another frothy at the Metro Police Dept. I refused to pay my Contempt of Court, because the fine down Sandton Drive (R500) was large enough.
She let me go. I wasn't arrested, because a crack syndicate had just been pulled in from Hillbrow.

God I love the holidays.

i love yelling at the government.

unfortunately the one over here actually does some stuff sometimes. usually getting people in trouble for yelling at them, but not much else.

sigh

Ah, the good ol' "squeaky wheel" principle at work. Well, at least something works in the traffic department.

HAHA to your previous post, I had to go have my license renewed - that was killer, I hate traffic departments, I also have a fine outstanding (for jumping a stop street!)

Have a fab Christmas, god knows we all need it, and a fab holiday, chat next year!

Hahah...tell me, is this the South African incarnation of carolling. A group of people roam around over the festive season dancing and protesting instead of singing Christmas carols.

Peas, did you go to the Blogger meaat at the bowls club of Fri?

So how as it?

nothing like a good rant to get things done…

Traffic guys are a model of streamlined efficiency compared to the Dept of Home Affairs. Those mo'fo's make me want to get seriously violent every time I have the misfortune of having to visit them.
