caveat

I was going to post something random about the French today, but I'll save it for a later stage.

I'd like to hand you over to my spokesperson, for wont of explanation:

Peas On Toast extends a warm hello to all those in the blogosphere this morning.

She is currently going through something that she prefers to keep private at this such point. She apologises in advance for the lack of enthusiasm and vigour in her daily posts, as well as the need to remain private and tight-lipped about what is going on at this current time. To answer some of the questions she has recieved via email and in the comments-roll, it involves an intensely personal part of her life in the way of an event. She is generally coping and getting along, but the need to remain cryptic regarding this information unfortunately is paramount.
- Mr Shit Hot Spokesperson.

That said, I spent a formidable amount of time staring at the trees this weekend. First at my man Suave's picnic at Zoo Lake, then yesterday in the serene tranquility of leafy Parkview, in E2's back garden on a blanket.
It's so easy to just grab a blankie and lie under the trees and clouds. I just don't do this enough. E2 was a saviour yesterday. We lay there in silence for hours, barring the pinkie-swear we made over if either of us ever had halitosis, we'd always tell each other no matter what.

Saturday was spent over a chick dinner with C at Bellini's. That was also fantastic. Over Chicken Suzette and Salmon Stuffed Into A Giant Baked Potato, not to mention two bottles of wine, we all chatted about what women always chat about over dinner and fermented grapes:

Sex
Men
Bad Sex
Good Sex
Bad Men
Good Men
Work

Storm - Yip E2 is amazing, I just love her. I'm so lucky to have friends like her, amongst my other great mates as well. ;)

Oh. my. word. The amount of time I spend on your blog has made me draw a very scary conclusion. I now await the next installment of your blog with the same amount of fervor as a soap opera! It's like I'm waiting for the next episode of egoli! If and when you come clean about the latest shitstorm in your life, I will be there, subscribed and eagerly awaiting!

P.S. Good luck with the shitstorm and hope things turn out well for you.

Respek Peas!

I am wondering myself how to not overshare this morning, given that part of what I need to write about involves the words "not having sex with him" and "ever ever again"...

Respectfully, hope all is well in Peasland, and your loyal readers (perhaps one day friends) are here regardless.

Ever been to the botanical Gardens in Roodepoort. It was the longest drive I have ever been on but so worth it. Glad you got some fresh O2.

Not to dig into your personal affairs but I hope you overcome whatever it is you're unable to share and end up smiling at the end of the day. Truly, we are here for you.

Big Hugs for Peas :)

Everyone - thank you so much for your support. I wish I could share what's going on, because your advice means the world to me, but I just can't. But just being here (or on here :) really helps.

Richard - thanks so much my dear. Yip, this isn't the first time my blog has been compared to a soap opera! Thanks for your kind words though, and yes, let's hope this shitstorm unravels smoothly...

Hot Pink - hey babe. Thanks for your words. It's really hard not to use my blog as a venting space. But I just can't, it's not that type of blog anymore unfortunately. It's very sad, eh?

Lollipop - thank you so much. There have many times when the blogosphere picks up my pieces and helps me to remerge as a semi-decent humanbeing again, and it's so amazing to have a support system as this.
I've also been to the Roosepoort one - long drive, but well worth the visit once you're there. ;)

Billy said...

You ok?

Peas on Toast said...

Rachel- I swear hugs cannot be condmened, it's exactly what I need right now. Thanks babe.

Rev - "Don't worry Peas, at least you have a vibrator" ? :)

Peas on Toast said...

Hey Bill - how you my dear? Yes I'm holding up, thanks sweetie pie. ;)

What is it with us blog chicks at the moment? We all seem to be going through personal relationship turmoil. Perhaps we should be hunting in packs. That way we have the upper hand. Champs, Hot Pink, Peas? What do you girls think?

Anonymous said...

And a warm hello to you too.
You might need a backup halitosis informant for those times when one or both of you:
(a) has sinusitus;
(b) has severe hayfever; or
(c) is too hammered to tell.

Peas on Toast said...

Jam - I'll save the hunting for another day, thanks babe. ;)

Kyk - Or perhaps we should get another person to join the circle. Keen? ;)

Anonymous said...

Actually, it wasn't actually hunting to eat something tasty - it was more about making them feel some fear and pain for a change. Excuse me this morning. I'm feeling a little vicious.

Peas on Toast said...

Jam - I hear you babe. ;) *Exchange of cyber hugs *

"It's really hard not to use my blog as a venting space. But I just can't, it's not that type of blog anymore unfortunately. It's very sad, eh?"

That is so fucking depressing. It used to be so much fun , back in the stone age, when blogger venting was quite the rage.
Possible time for a new blog??

With regards to "well as the need to remain private and tight-lipped ", just cross you legs firmly.

How about a game? I guess what the issue is and when I get it right, you shout BINGO!

So here goes, my first guess:

'After years of soul searching, you've realised that you prefer girls!'???

Peas on Toast said...

Rev - BINGO!
He he, just kidding. That wouldn't be quite as complicated. :)

Yip it sucks. And it might be time to start a new blog. I've been considering it. And therein I'll unleash the fury. Just a pity I won't be telling any one soul about it though. ;)

Revolving Credit said...

Hey, if my guess was correct, you could marry Muddle!!

Peas on Toast said...

Rev - yip, we already have the honeymoon package plan for the Seychelles. :)

Peas, in times like these, isn't it good to know that the virtual community of blogspot is willing to help you out. Think of us as the guys you go to when the big kids are bullying you.

But while the days a head are dark, take it from me - grab hold of every ray of sunshine in your life and hold onto it with one hand. keep the other tightly encased around a bottle or two of wine.

Peas on Toast said...

Insomniac - it's so great babe, I cannot tell you. And yes, grabbing a-hold of any sunshine, be it staring at the clouds or quaffing wine with mates keeps one sane during times of extreme duress.

Hello my dear Peaslet.

So sorry to hear you're going through some stuff. I wish I could say something profound but as a result of your cryptological message, I unfortunately cannot (not that what I would've said would have any great value anyway!).

I'm in JHB and I'm so over this place. There's only so much of Sandton Holiday Inn I can take.

Anyway, I would propose a 'meet' of some sort, but I don't want to appear stalkerish. Buuut, if you're up to it, I'd like to meet you and some of you other JHB blogger people.

Have an awesome day now :)

Peas on Toast said...

Howzit Kev!

Now now, your words have always helped me through tons of shit my dear.
But on you - yes, just how much of Sandton Holiday Inn can you take my boy?? One, maybe two days?

I'd love to meet you, how long are you in town though? I can't meet tonight, but perhaps sometime this week? I know of some bloggers who'd dig to meet you too I'm sure.

Guess #2: Smoking Dick is moving to The Poenda?

Peas on Toast said...

LOL. :) No but he's going overseas in two days (US of A) for work...

Champagne Heathen said...

Big hugs to you this morning!

We're always around for more martinis, babysitting, waiter perving, vodka-in-the-shade suiping, and other-cultural experiencing...! And if you are feeling lonely, I'll lend you two puppies or a baby for a weekend!

Please Please Please let me know if I have halitosis!!!

Peas on Toast said...

Champs - thanks dollface. You were fabulous this weekend. And yes, you're allowed into the circle of halitosis trust. :)

Guess #3:

He's going State side and he wants you to join him, but you're unsure and that's been the ball ache you've been going thru.
a)Quit your job and head off to the USA with no work planned.
b)Call it quits now and go your seperate ways
c) Attempt a long distance relationship, which you know won't work.

To avoid all three possible options listed above, anonymously contact the CIA or Homeland Security. Tell them he is an ardent OSAMA/PAGAD/MUGABE supporter. They'll put him on their watch list and not let him in the country.

(What's the chances that their web monitoring tools have just flagged this post, cuz I just used a few key words, what a lag)

Peas on Toast said...

Revvie - nah. I'd have probably talked about that. He's only going for two weeks.

But on that note, hello FBI!

Tamaryn - I know it all sounds heavy huh? Rest assured, it is. Yip, I have a new pic in mind for my next canvas. Will be sure to post it up. :)

Muddly - thanks dollface. xx

muddlepuddle said...

tnx for the backup storm!

Peas on Toast said...

Storm - I started my blog two years ago, and for the first year I could basically spill my guts out about anything and everything. It felt great. Then I became known and known within my circles as well as 'Oh my God! You're Peas!"

The last time I ranted and raved, it got into the press. Seriously. THis is the first time I haven't used it as a serious ventspace. It's hard, but what can one do, eh?

Peas on Toast said...

Muddle - you and me babe, he he, how about it huh? You, me and large jar of jelly? ;)

muddlepuddle said...

Jelly good altho these days I am eating it raw *guffaw guffaw*
How about me, you and some coconut suntan oil......

Revolving Credit said...

Ha..Storm, you need to get the story ..umm..straight.

I proposed that Peas and Muddle get married. Now how could that be construed as lesbian?

We all know that the moment 2 people get married they stop having sex with each other.
Now that wouldn't be very lesbian would it???

(What's up with blogger,it keeps making me log in??)

Anonymous said...

my pleasure muddle!!
Rev - holy crap, then it's great thing i'm not married!!!! how horrid!
peas - i can just imagine..i only started reading your blog recently, but since you're so famous(and that's only because people love hearing about other people's crap) it must be pretty sheit! just don't understand why people freak out if they don't like what you write...they only read it for above mentioned reasons anyway??

muddlepuddle said...

Blogger is taking revenge on you for being nasty 2 ur gals!!

Kidding rev - still love u millions xx
