what was in this?

I don't know what exactly was in my curry last night, but hell I experienced more than a few very lucid, very vivid dreams right up until my alarm went off this morgen, much to my immediate hatred.

A group of us tried out this new curry den down the road. Something's up. I swear I was tripping last night. The dreams. All night long.

In one dream, I was in my school uniform, flying. I had the ability to fly and was - wittingly and cunningly - flying across the hockey fields by the seat of my pants. It was rather embarrassing since the whole school could see my doondies, and there were boys tottering around too, but I was flying with my dress up and my pantyhose on display.

Other dreams included uploading pictures of people singing karaoke at varsity onto this blog by mistake, and then another was electrocuting Big T with some scientific equipment, which was very amusing - because it made his hair stand on end.

The dreams got stranger and stranger. Now I had the braised and curried chicken breast with garden peas, (everyone around me, C especially, had order envy. My dish was great. Until my head hit the pillow that is.)

Good curry, but fuck. Did they sprinkle acid onto my dish or something?

I could attempt an amateur analysis, but I won't.

Instead I'll just ask if the curry was hot and what colour doondies you were wearing? (In your dream!)

Leigh-Anne - hey! The curry was smokin' hot, and my doondies were navy blue like my uniform.

Any Freudians there?

Flying? Hmmm... was there mango in the curry?

Peas on Toast said...

Kyk - nope just chicken and peas...
hmmm. And acid.

Peas on Toast said...

PS: hardy ha ha! :)

Maybe the acid is what made it taste so good ;)

SheBee said...

Don't ever eat curry! It is bad!

Peas on Toast said...

thing - perhaps. Because it did taste insanely fantastic.

SheBee - Dude, you're a Natal girl! How can you not live for curry babe? Us Natalians practically live on the stuff! I crave it sometimes...more than chocolate.

Mahendran Govender said...

Didn't you know that acid is infact a purified form of masala.

If you have ever had a curry made with 'Mother in law' masala you will know what I mean :)

I know, its a shocker, but its for true!

Lol.

It gives me major heart burn/ indigestion and i hate the flavours!

Damn, I thought they banned the use of Sudan Red Dye in foodstuffs, specifically Masala and Curry Powders.
Sounds like your Curry Den has some private vintage stock stashed away.

I wouldn't worry too much, but when the leprosy developes and your left bum cheek droops more than it naturally should, best you see a sangoma.

On the plus side, at least you were wearing doondies when flying.
They were clean, wren't they??

Peas on Toast said...

Sabre - hmmm "mother in law masala." Sounds like this should be illegal. :) Hey, I'll ask for it next time!

SheBee - Tragic bru. Sorry to hear that, is it the same with Mexican food?

Rev - they're going to make a roaring trade I'll bet when their repeat customers come in asking for the stuff that "makes them fly."
:)

Revolving Credit said...

I can just picture you going back there asking for the stuff that "makes you dream of karaoke."

Peas on Toast said...

Exactly! It's what heaven is made of :)

And did I mention all the lovely bright colours I saw in my dreams as well?
I'm telling you, somebody called Raj got hold of a jar of LSD and threw it in my curry and all and all.

Rajphur's Tandoori Karaoke Palace and Fabric Wholesaler
Please note:
Take all prescriptions to cousin Prakash the Pharmacist at serving hatch 2, next to the pompidum fryer.

Peas on Toast said...

That just about sums it up, bloody perfectly!

This place was lank tasteful and orderly though. One would never guess they spice up the food with hallucinogens.

Revolving Credit said...

So what else did you dream about?

Peas on Toast said...

Well. The other dream I thought of blogging about, but then better of it. It's not lewd or pornographic, but was helluva strange. Involving breaking out of someone's house and double dates that would never, ever happen in reality!
(Although seemed peaceful and happy in the dream itself. Crazy.)

Anything about monopoly or boats?

Peas on Toast said...

Nope, strangely enough :)

Just weird, very unplausible shit juxtaposed with crazy flashing colours everywhere.

Mr 747 says I was talking in my sleep all night and tossing and turning.

Revolving Credit said...

Sounds to me like you may have been in an Austen Powers movie!

Peas on Toast said...

Or Harry Pothead movie. I was flying, and it had shades of Potterisms all over the place.

Maybe I'm just going mentally insane.

Mich said...

Wow that sounds like some of dreams...

this one time I dreamt my TV was talking me... and the other time I dreamt I was font(dont ask).

And my freakiest was when I had this little appearing in all my dreams. Then I went to play tennis and low and behold little is in next court!

Peas on Toast said...

Elle babe, phew!
And my freakiest was when I had this little appearing in all my dreams. Then I went to play tennis and low and behold little is in next court!

I don't quite understand that, but sounds pretty insane. You haven't been smoking your socks again have you? ;)

Mich said...

OMG peas.. I am still freked out I can articulate peoperly.. a little boy...

freaky dreams I have had

Peas on Toast said...

Elle - hectic doll. It's time to cut down on the doobie my girl. Juuuust kidding :)

Mahendran Govender said...

Lol, you wont get it in Josi my dear. Try it next time you're in good old Shark country.

Mich said...

But it helps me sleep peas.. at least I think I am sleeping... hehhe

Uniform = bondage
Flying = ass lifting up
Hockey field = hockey stick
Boys & doondies = doondies off
Singing karaoke = slow steady rhythm
Electric shock = orgasm

Peas, while you were half asleep, 747 shagged you my dear.

And you were so out of it, you thought it was all a dream.

I'm curious, how did your dream explain the wetspot???

Peas on Toast said...

Sabre - whenever I'm in Shark country I eat as much of the hot stuff as I can. But I'll be sure to ask for this when I'm next there!

Elle - yeah, as long as you stay in bed and don't sleep walk! :)

Rev - Hey! You know he reads this, right?

The Divine Miss M said...

What's the address?! I want to go!!! hehehhee

I had the most yummy Indian food on Tuesday night, the best ever *drools* No strange dreams though ...

Revolving Credit said...

He reads this? Promise?

Here goes:

Hey Smile High,
Howzit boet, just 2 quick questions for you.

- Did Peas or did she not doze off and dream during sex?
- What was she sleep-talking about? Was she actually saying something coherent or was she just singing karaoke?

Shot
Rev

Peas on Toast said...

Divine Miss M - They're actually fabulous, and as far as I know, I was the only one having odd dreams last night. It's Trishna, the new place next to the Bikram yoga pozzie in Illovo. (Thrupps Centre.)

Pricey, but well worth it.

Peas on Toast said...

Rev - Now don't be so hectic, be nice and he might answer :)

Peas on Toast said...

Rev - the man himself says he'd prefer to be a silent witness, although he did say this:

You can tell him, though, you even managed to sleep walk to the kitchen and make yourself OROS. Obviously you were sleep walking or you would have offered me some. And there was a lot of chuckling to yourself while kicking me.

I don't think his curry was spiked. I think it was just mine.

Revolving Credit said...

OK

Smile High
Tell me over a beer later!

Revolving Credit said...

Peas, sounds more like you had Ruphenol Rogan Rosh!!

Vimbai said...

At least you can blame it on the curry, how bout those of us who get these type of dreams without ingesting narcortics, lol

It's tight!

Peas on Toast said...

Rev - it is entirely possible :)

Vimbai - you also dreaming funny stuff like Elle sans narcotics?
Hmmm chaps, I'm not entirely convinced hey!

The Divine Miss M said...

Well if I ever go over to JHB again I'll definitely take a look :)

If you're ever in London and want some good Indian try Chutney's in Wimbledon and The Red Rose in Holloway road. Both are AMAZING!

The Red Rose especially, the owner gets flown out by The Darkness to be their personal chef sometimes. And the best part is the food is really well priced, not expensive at all!

Peas on Toast said...

Awesome Divine, thanks my dear. I most certainly will be eating curry at least twice a day when I get to London again. :)
