when it's raining and everyone...

...has to get out of bed and go to work, I get to stay at home.
And make plans.

I did however manage to have a somewhat ok weekend. Changed my room around, cleared out a lot of stuff, hosted two small parties, that sort of stuff.

PS: Thanks to those who left me comments on Friday. I really appreciate your thoughts and kind words. As we speak I'm building a little character and waiting for the maid to arrive.

Talk about a silver lining! You get to stay home and keep warm and dry while the rest of us shmucks have to brave the daily drudgery. Keep up the positive thinking! Thing have a habit of working out for the best... (insert other mushy well-meant cliches) You can do it!!!

What are you going to name your little character when you're done building it? I vote for "Vernon".

Oh my dear Peas, I have just read your Friday post, I am so terribly sorry! It takes a lot of courage to be released the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

So move forward, be changed. Your writing is so wonderful, you will be snapped up in a sec!! If you need some contacts in the ad world drop me a line.

we're looking for a person to represent us in SA, since you have all this free time, how does one get in touch?

Sorry to hear about your run of ill fortune. I’m not sure what to say other than I hope things work out for you. Your friend’s CT option sounds good though.

As one door closes another one opens...just be carefull not to get for fingers jammed in the door or your ass slammed by the door swinging closed!

You've been there before and you've survived...you know that!
It's not great, it hurts but then it gets better.

It's all a matter of perspective!
What colour glasses are you wearing and how does it tint your view of the world?

Do you see adversity or opportunity??

That's the choice you need to consciously make and the rest will follow!

WHACK!!

That's me slapping you on the ass to wake you up and get you out of that dazed (woe is me) state....you choose who and where you want to be!!
Get it!

Ok, since Rev's giving out some great advice, I'll just stand back here and cheer him on!

Hang in there, Peas

Thanks so much guys. Honestly, all your comments really make me feel more like a human being than a piece of pigeon guano that trails the streets in a feverish "what the fuck now?"

I'm making plans, am in limbo, but I have a few "doors" that I'm going to venture to in the hope that something, anything....comes my way in light of a small opportunity.

I so appreciate your comments, you have no idea. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Looks like the shit really hit the fan for you. Sorry to hear that. But you know what, I've been reading your blog for about a year now and you're a tough cookie. I know you'll land on your feet.

You can't beat staying at home on a day like this, even if its not by choice.
