ill

I have managed to avoid getting ill for about a year, even had the old 'flu jab in October to make sure.

And here I am, streaming cold, in bed, not being able to take anything, as builders dig around me.

It's awesome.

There is a cement mixer churning away in the basement, and I think one might be drilling directly into my cranium.

On the plus side, I didn't have to take a tube to and from work today. An activity that is proving more and more difficult as the days go by.

And also now have a decent idea of how builders work.
The schedule goes something like:
Enter house and have a smoke at the front door. (The neighbours must be skittish with anger)
Have a half hour long phone conversation with his wife in Spanish outside my bedroom door
Dig at some rock
Have a half hour long conversation with his mistress outside my room
Go for a smoke
Scrape at some rock

Rinse, rave, repeat.

At least the cupboard is filled with snacks. Now just to find my noise cancelling headphones.

It's times like those when parent's homes become priceless. The only place I want to be when I am sick is at my moms place.

WHAT am I am going to do in England :(

You need the rest - just take it easy for a couple of days. Hope you found the headphones though!!

Thank you all. xx

Secret - I also only want my mama when I'm sick. But have managed to do it without her for a good few years, and you will too, promise. x
