women's day

Yesterday was Women's Day in South Africa. One could presume that some suffragette liberated us from the chains of patricarchy, but in reality, it is probably a holiday because Winnie Mandela wanted it to be.

Anyway. I saw two movies yesterday. One was the Ashton Kutcher flop, although he looked rather nice, the other, The Hitch Hiker's Guide. I didn't like it much. Everyone came out of the theatre raving about it like it had saved their lives. I felt stupid and shallow because it deserves a very generous 6 out of 10 as far as I'm concerned. Yes, yes yes, it's a more profound movie than say 'Monster in Law', but that doesn't make it better.

I bought a dust buster for my car. I am becoming severly anal-retentive when it comes to Ludwig. Anytime I drop so much as a leaf from my foot on the mat, out comes the Dirt Devil Dustbuster 4.5 and I swoop it up. Shit. OTT. My German stepfather does stuff like this.

But I may be bacl to my slovenly ways. I found a tupperware full of decaying left over spaghetti bolognaise under the seat. It smelt like something was dying.

Ludwig appears to be getting quite spoilt
By LC's vacuuming obsession
Though that spag bol going off underneath the front seat
Is something beyond comprehension!

Jon - "nothing beyond comprehension" you'be got that so right! Nobody would get into my car. It was royally FOUL.

Janie - the AShton flop was "A lot like LOve" with Amanda Peet. NOt bad, your average sort of chick flick, not sensational or anything. I only saw it to see AShton to tell you the honest truth...:)
