bush and bliss

What a wonderful weekend. It took seven hours to actually drive there (the Kruger Park), but it was well worth it. I was as much a tourist as my Canadian aunt, because I've never been before either. We saw lion, a leopard (walking right next to our land rover), millions of elephant, some rhino, buffalo, baby hyenas that decided to nibble on our tyres, giraffe. The whole shebang really.

My FRench granny let her hair down considerably on Saturday night and got a little drunk on the whisky's, and it was fantastic. I woke up to a giant tarantula/spideroid thing right in my face which was rather disconterting - no terrifying - but other than that, we went on game drives twice a day, ate like kings and generally lived it up 'on safari.'

I've cvome back with a better mindset, and am ready to rock and roll in the city once more.

Still sounds like fun Janie. Yip it was good, unfortunately I've arrived back at work with a pile of stuff to do, so I'm back in the city with a bang...

A proper African safari is on my list of things to do before I die.

Loving nature and animals Ed, you would be in your element Ed. Make sure you come to SA someday and do it 'proper' :)

I would have smacked myself in the face trying to get the spideroid. So you did good, eh?
