tell me why i don't like mondays...

Chinas. I have found a new nightclub.

Can't remember the name of it, but have a rough idea of where it is. It's the Mandog, except there's no vomit or glass on the floor. And there's still a bit of space, so you don't have to hustle or get bumped around. I was so excited Friday on going here, I actually just didn't know what to do with myself.

So. I shuddupped and danced.

I got on the floor and looked real sexy. (That's from a Saint Etienne song. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't – I don't give a toss, it's been a while since squeaked heel to oomcha oomcha music, and fuck, did I enjoy it.)

They play all the cheesy music a girl like me really and truly loves, hey and whaddoyouknow, there are people there older than 18. Went with Ches, N and her dude – and had just the best time ever! There was a slight reemergence of Old Me again – God, I am back! Klapped a couple of Jaegerbombs though....and all that. Felt it the next day.

I am just so chuffed that a few new drinking spots have popped up around Jozi. I'd tell you about them, but then the hoards might cotton on and ruin it. So until then, I've found some awesome little Friday and Saturday night spots that are completely different from the ones I used to go to. Just like me, this town is finally starting to to reinvent itself. Yay!

Saturday I went to Gin with The Dove and Jam for a jolly old catch up, in between procrastination of a whoring degree. I have a couple of stories I need to write at the moment, and I only really have the weekends to do them.
Lacking in any inspiration (I had to call the Dove over to help), I first:

Took my car to the car wash and got the full treatment, inside and out. Ludwig is styling again. He's a very happy gay little car. (Two hours)

Basic grocery shopping (15 minutes)

Cleaning my whole house (1.5 hours)

Fannying about my house not going anywhere near my computer (most of the day)

That's a lot of procrastination. I finally got cracking at about midnight after Gin.
And have since been banging away. At my keyboard. In between tea breaks with 3RM and C.

On Sunday I went to Rosebank Market with mum. And got a good bargain on a brown leather Chloe handbag. Ok it's probably not a genuwine Chloe, but it sure as shit looks like the real deal for a steal.

I would procrastinate, but I don't feel like it at the moment.

Two things please:
1. Define "cheesy music a girl like me really and truly loves".
2. What's the name of the club?

Still mourning the loss of 206

Craighall Park

Kyk - yeah this is definitely worth sitting out until the urge to procrastinate arises.

Fush - 1) Anything on the Mosnter Hits collection/90s techno music/doofy doofy music
2) Can't remember. But even if I did, I'd keep it quiet. The beeyoody of this place is that it isn't the Mandog yet.

What's 206, and why's it in my neighbourhood but I don't know about it? ;)

Before your time. 206 closed down. Unequalled in crowd, music, vibe. Saw Massive Attack, Brian Molko, and one half of the Chem Bros hanging out there.

Now it's gone gone gone. weep.

Is procrastination like postponing the trip home til after the next drink..or the one after that or the one for the road thereafer..or is that just plain alcoholism??

I know how that feels Chick!
Went out on Saturday night after a long bout of nothingness, my former self peeped round the corner.
It was awesome to let loose.
