melon slammers & japan

Am, with the rest of my office, extremely hungover.
Team dinner.

At Orient in Melrose Arch. Always great food. Had the seared slamon with ginger-infused mash potato.

Woke up on and off the entire night, plagued by unforgiving pukiness.

Not so sure about that salmon now. Even though it was seared to perfection and the flakes were just melting off like they're meant to. Like in the fantasy of my final meal in the event I was ever sent to the electric chair, because I did something naughty in Texas.

Perhaps the prawn cakes? Or maybe, more likely, the melon slammers?
Am feeling the nauseous side of the back end of a bus.

But in general, wine diet going considerably well, am pleased to report.

Memory, not as hot. Was calling a colleague's husband Hank the whole evening. And that's not his name.

Awesome.

And have re-experienced and rejuvenated my Spice Girls album.

At least I dreamt about New Zealand last night. As in the country, not beached whales from said country and sexual relations thereof.

Fuck.

PS: In other news, Amazon Japan is already selling my book. Which doesn't exist for another month. I wonder what they're saying?

Hilarious. Apparently I'm....big in Japan.

harold - I know I know, how do you think i've written German and Spanish and Greek into my cartoons.

I just haven't had the time what with my hectic schedule involving wine and melon slammers. :)

Will do it in my lull today!

I too am hungover like a bastard today - the wine and the company was just too good. I need to know what helps cos my usual green ambulance and greasy breakfast in the form of a Russian (which I would normally never eat but it was the greasiest thing I could find on my way to work) have not helped - why oh why do we do this on "a school night"

Peas on Toast said...

Nessers - because it's more DARING on a school night :)

I suugest a toasted cheese. Smashed one in my pie hole just now. Good luck Nessers, know you're not alone!

Peas and Nessers, cold pizza does the trick for me. And Creme Sober - but I think that's what you may have been referring to as you green ambulance Nessers.

I too felt the slight effects of the 1 and half bottles of red wine I drank, mixed with a few naughty jagers last nite.

Difference though is that unlike you, at 7am I was sleeping, not blogging and stayed in bed 'til 10:30.

I then had a double cheese burger for breakfast and now I'm ready for round 2.

Anyone for a G&T over luch??

Peas on Toast said...

Mel - I'm actually feeling ok now, after a double dose of biltong supreme and a cheese zarm. Cream Sober...okes....I can't believe you drink that stuff!
