[hedge] funding my meat market bets

Haven't been out to a meat market in a long time. In fact, the usual meat markets I used to so often frequent to smash tequila and orally fornicate at, have been redirected to my list of 'don't-go-there-anymore' s.

I suppose I just got bored with the whole scene.
But, shit. As frivolous as it is to scamper around interjecting investment bankers, still in-tie, talking about hedge funds and private equity, perhaps it's time to remind myself of what exists in my co-parallel universe in this town.

I mean, I do have a new devilishly good-looking frock I haven't worn yet. Weather-permitting.

And frankly DVD and pizza nights for one are getting a bit too Danny The Dolphin-centric.

Tonight I will re-emerge into the land of meat marketing, hair pulling, drinks bumping, bar queuing, wow-what-a-big-hedge-fund-you-have, and even retain a sense of humour about the whole thing.

After work bottom-feeding in Sandton. Fuck yes.

I'll be with Chester and The Dove, so at least when the going gets tough or the heat of the kitchen gets unbearable, we can always have a lewd game of Would You Rather in the corner while we slot a couple of burgers.

Tomorrow I'll have my bridesmaid dress fitted for E's wedding, and buy an exorbitant amount of frilly underwear at the doondie bash thereafter.

This could be quite fun. A little of the old me. Although, who was that person again?
