twonniversary

Two years ago, the Brit and I met.

In South Africa.

Since then, I've continued to be swept off my feet. Including the presents I woke up to this morning.

Happy two year anniversary my amazing boyfriend.

We have two anniversaries. One for when we met, and another for when we made it official. All the lines are generally blurred as we did long-distance for a year until I moved over here.

It's safe to say we've done a lot together during this time.

Travelled from Italy, to Mexico, to Ireland, to Sweden, to Vietnam, Slovakia, Austria and France together. Saw the World Cup in South Africa together, bought our first home together. Laughed together, cried together, ate Christmas dinners together.

The Brit has been my rock through one of the most changing chapters in my life. And after two years, he still manages to give me butterflies in the pit of my bowels, and make me forget about the spinning world when he kisses me. He makes me laugh until I weep.

I am a very lucky woman.

Tonight we shall drink wine. I think. He's taking me somewhere, but not quite sure just yet.

Sigh. I do love the man. Ever so much.

Congratulations :) I think you two are a perfect match, even in photos you fit so well together, I reckon you'll be married within the next two years :)

You must have a true jewel there. I might be crucified for this but after 7 years in London and meeting many Brits I have not met ONE who knew how to sweep a woman of her feet.
Clearly I wasn't lucky.

Happy Twonniversary.

Congrats Peas! Ever so happy for you! :D

Can I share my little romance story with you?
On the 16th of next month, it will be my 1 year anniversary with my wonderful man - its taken us 8 years to get this far!.
We met in high school 9 years ago, started dating for a few months - he was also my matric dance partner, we broke up and went our separate ways. We dated other people and happened to meet up again one night at a mutual friends bday. We became friends again, dated again for a few months, broke up and remained very close. Almost a year ago, we went out to Tiger Tiger for a birthday, both got very drunk, hooked up and then (apparently) had a looong discussion about how we love each other and should try again and see where things go. Today, nearly a year down the line, we live together and we have a cat! :D
Talk about taking the long way around. :P

SO, I totally understand what it means to find the right person after finding all the wrong ones first!
Hope you have an awesome anniveaster! xxxx
