weekend nightmares are made of

Jesus fuck.

I think the bubonic plague that bought the suburb of Newtown to its knees in 1918 (you can check – this really did happen), was revirusized, and unwittingly injected into my veins Friday afternoon.
Never has a simple cut and dry case of influenza floored me so badly before. OK there was that one time in Std 6, but whatever.

So the weekend was spent in a flu-riddled delirium, with the help of pills and citro-effervescents. The dull throb that was nasal cavity and my teeth were sore, my nose was but falling off my face.

Then I discovered I was broke.
Then we broke up.

So all in all, this weekend was a peach.

On the bright side, E2 and C entertained me Sunday night, I can now fit into my Skinny Jeans and I did 63 Sudoku puzzles.

I finally broke down last night - so my eyes are attractively puffy slits in my face.

Punk, you know that you can still come tonight. Smash a couple in your face! Hope you're okay!

Thanks my little PK. I'll definitely meet you guys out later.
Make sure the Jaegermeister is cold! :)

Hey Peas.
Chin up and eyes open. You can see from your very own blog how lovable and wonderful you are. Don't let the post relationship blues cloud your sense of your own wonderful-ness!

A peach? Sounds more like a lemon to me. You know what they say, "When life hands you lemons - dig out the tequila & salt" Jah okay, so maybe I made up the last bit, but C might be onto something there...

Daytripper - Thanks big guy. I must say, I liken myself at present to a scab on the back of an old man's knee. Not feeling fabulous at all! But bless your little heart for tryin'. :)

Kyk - I heard tequila is one of the only alcohols that doesn't induce depression the next morning. (Gin being the worst.)
So you just may be onto something yourself. :)

A flu fuelled breakup. Hope he catches it too...kidding.
Let me know about tomorrow.
And remember to cry as much as you need to.

Jam - the irony is he's had flu as well.
I think mine was just a more severe case. :(
Tomorrow sounds fantabulous. xx

Shame doll, when it rains it pours hey?! In the space of a month, my work life got turned on it's head, my car was written off, my sister was attacked, I stuffed up a ligament in my knee and I was dumped... I feel your pain. The way I see it is that the universe can't be that twisted and I have GOT to have some good karma coming my way! So perhaps you and I should both buy lotto tickets! Doing my best to keep positive - lots of strength to you xxB

Now, here's the trouble with trying to just skim read the post.

I read "..OK there was that one...std...whatever"

Only problem is, knowing me, I read std as S.T.D...sudden double take..WTF.

I recommend that you don't hangout in Newtown as you seem to be allergic.

But I've organised something special. Because this weekend was such a washout, I've organised a special mid-week break tomorrow, just so you can catchup.

You can thank me later! :p

My darling peas, im so sorry to hear you're taking strain. Manhattan orgy tonight perhaps?

I graced the place with my presence on saturday for a bachelors. Was rather impressed with the female - male ratio and the quality of ladies, if i was single.................

Crawled out at 3am straight into a police roadblock...lovely.

Aw peas. I hope you feel better soon in both ways. Just take a little time to catch up with yourself and you'll be ready for more in no time.

Hi Peas - finally have a few seconds online... so sorry to hear about the misery that is you this last weekend.

I know you'll pull through, as always, but still... Shittyness all round. Sorry bugger.

Thanks guys - this flu is hanging on something epic and refuses to go away!
Another reason not to go out and smash face with random faceless men. :)
